Dana and Shane Munro

2 - 31 December 2015

Gerald Moore Gallery presents a new commission with artists Dana and Shane Munro from 14 October to 12 December 2015. This is the first time the two artists, who are siblings, will exhibit their work together.

Members from the Eltham College community have assisted in the exhibition's production. The artists have commissioned Camilla Makhmudova, an Upper Sixth form student, to produce an artwork which will be included in the exhibition.

The exhibition explores Process as strategy employing formal and stylistic systems, notions of audience and authorship, and processes of invisibility: redaction, labour and image-revealing. These systems of process also include 'making together'.

Shane and Dana Munro were born in Belgrade. They grew up in Africa, the Middle East and the UK. Dana is currently artist in residence at Wiels in Brussels and Shane has recently returned from the Hessische Kulturstiftung Residency in New York. Both artists trained at the Städelschule in Frankfurt, Germany. Together they run Economy, a project space with previous spaces existing in London, Brussels and Frankfurt. Their latest project wiels.ch presented new works by Thomas Bayrle alongside a catalogue launch at dépendance, Brussels (August 2015).
