Environmental Crisis: Gerald Moore Gallery, Art and Science Exhibition 2020
The call for submissions for the 2nd Art and Science exhibition at Gerald Moore Gallery is now open for pre-existing works that explore the issue of the Environmental Crisis to be exhibited from Feb to March 2020, spanning across British Science week 8-17 March.
With the "Climate crisis" in the news and the recent protests led by young people, Gerald Moore Gallery would like to engage with this subject in an exhibition.
As a gallery with learning at its core we would like to give space to raising awareness and understanding the environmental crisis. We will be running a series of events alongside this exhibition: talks, debates, performances and workshops.
Entry requirements
All media are eligible including painting, print, drawing, sculpture and video etc.
The gallery is situated within the grounds of a school and the works will need to be appropriate for young ages.
Send an image (of no more than 2mb) or a link to a video of the artwork you wish to exhibit; with a short description of the work including the media, dimension or running time to info@geraldmooregallery.org subject: ‘Science and Art Exhibition submission’.
Include your name, email, phone number and a link to your website.
If you have an idea for a workshop with schools, children or adults, please include this in your application, including a budget and artist fee.
Deadline for submissions 9th December.
Exhibition will run in February and March.
Shortlisted artists will be contacted by 21st December and works will need to be delivered to the gallery by the beginning of February.

About Gerald Moore Gallery
Gerald Moore Gallery is a young centre for modern and contemporary art with learning at its heart. Opened in April 2012, in Mottingham, the gallery is uniquely set within the grounds of Eltham College and is a valuable resource for the students and the local community. The gallery has gained momentum hosting some exciting exhibitions including works by Matisse, Louise Bourgeois, Rosemary Cronin, and Cornelia Parker. In unison with the exhibitions, our outreach programme works with local community groups, teachers and schools, creating lasting relationships with our locality.
