Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming senior citizens from the Yog Foundation for a miniature painting workshop led by artist Jacqueline Synnott. The delicate act of creating small-scale artworks provided a meaningful boost to hand-eye coordination, while the shared creative experience fostered connection and well-being. Eltham College lower sixth art students also assisted during the session, encouraging and interacting with the participants.
The Yog Foundation is an award-winning UK charity that inspires and motivates busy people to serve selflessly, offering a platform to benefit society. Established in 2015, it is one of the largest charities in the area and nationally recognised for its pioneering work.
Jacqueline Synnott recently exhibited at Gerald Moore Gallery in 2024, showcasing a selection of her miniature paintings in the exhibition 'Monsoon Clouds and Golden Orioles – The Essential Beauty of Indian Miniature Painting'.
If your organisation is interested in creative workshops focusing on well-being, we’d love to hear from you. Please get in touch at info@geraldmooregallery.org or call us at 02088570448.
