IMPORTANT: The entrance on Mottingham Lane is currently closed to the public. Please enter Eltham College from Grove Park Road and proceed through a small metal gate next to the Chapel to reach the gallery.

Getting here:
By train - Regular trains from London Bridge to Mottingham Station and then a 10 minute walk and trains to Grove Park Station and then a 20 minute walk.
By bus - Buses 124, 126 and 161 stop near the gallery, within a 10 minute walk.
By car - Limited free car parking space available in the main Eltham College car park on Grove Park Road. Vehicle access via Grove Park Road only.
By bike - Bike racks are available outside the main buildings.

Free event: Crafternoon for families, 26th April 2025
You and your family are invited!Welcome to Crafternoon at the Gerald Moore Gallery! Join us for a fun-filled afternoon of creativity and crafting on Saturday 26th April 2025 from 1.30pm - 3.30pm. This in-person event will give you and your family the opportunity to explore your artistic side and create your own artworks. In this Crafternoon session, we will be exploring textiles. -

'Tell me where it hurts' Lower Sixth Art Exhibition (public day)
You are warmly invited‘Tell me Where it hurts’ Art Exhibition Join us for the public opening of ‘Tell me where it hurts’, a Lower Sixth art exhibition inspired by the theme of ‘Repair’, on Saturday, 1st March, from 10am to 4pm. The talented Art students at Eltham College have created a diverse range of works in various media, each exploring the theme of repair. The exhibition has been collaboratively curated through a workshop led by the staff of the Gerald Moore Gallery. -

New dates for creative workshops for adults
Learn a new technique in our fun workshopsOther than art workshops for young students during the holidays and half-terms, the Gerald Moore Gallery also runs art and creative workshops for adults focusing on painting, drawing and sculpting techniques on certain Saturdays from 10.30am – 1pm. All our classes are small and suitable for absolute beginners. Each class is run by a practising artist who will support you throughout the class. -
Open Call Portrait Painting ‘Nice to see you!’
Submit your work!Gerald Moore Gallery is pleased to invite submissions to this year’s Open Call Portrait Painting: Nice to see you! Nice to see you! aims to celebrate the very best in contemporary portraiture from artists based in London and the South East. This open call is for relevant pre-existing works by both self-taught and more established artists. Each artist can submit 1 artwork. -
Office closure for the holidays
We had fun hosting several winter creative workshops such as wreath-making, linocut printing and casting decorations in Jesmonite in early December. Here are pictures from our linocut printing workshop led by artist Diana Puntar showing fabulous festive cards that were made. -

Join us to celebrate the opening of two exciting exhibitionsHappy new year! To start the year with a bang, we are excited to be opening two new exhibitions on Thursday 16th January, 6 - 8pm. Please join us then to celebrate the exhibitions by Lydia Wood titled 'Local' which will showcase drawings and an installation by the artist in our Ground Floor Gallery, Gerald Moore Gallery. Amy Powell will be presenting 'Still Life', an exhibition of a group of paintings with sculptural elements in the Paul Henderson Gallery, Gerald Moore Gallery. -
Miriam Austin: Artist-in-Residence at Eltham College
We are happy to introduce Miriam Austin as this year’s Artist-in-Residence at Eltham College. Austin will be working in a studio in the art department until July 2025 as well as working with students from both the junior and senior schools on various projects and workshops. In April-May next year, she will present an exhibition at the Gerald Moore Gallery. Miriam Austin graduated from the Royal College of Art with an MA in Sculpture in 2012 and is currently studying on the Fine Art PhD programme at the Ruskin School of Art, University of Oxford. Austin’s current work explores the relationship between ritual, myth, ecological fragility and the politics of the body.
