With the Environmental Crisis such a prevalent subject in the news and the recent protests led by young people, Gerald Moore Gallery sent an open call to artists to respond to this major issue. The responses focused on the impacts we face: climate change, degraded air quality, deforestation, the decrease of animal population, land and sea pollution, soil erosion and biodiversity losses. As a gallery with learning at its core we want to give space to raising awareness of these challenges and encourage everyone to act.
Over 60 different artists were short-listed by students, aged 14-18 to exhibit. The works range from sculpture, photography, installation, video, painting and performance. There will also be a series of events alongside this exhibition: talks, debates, performances and workshops including:
