To commemorate the centenary of the end of the First World War, the Gerald Moore Gallery has asked all its Art students to make a poppy for each Old Elthamian who died during the First and Second World War. They will form a display that will be placed in the chapel. In addition there will an art installation upstairs in the Gerald Moore Gallery with each poppy representing someone a student wishes to remember. Open Saturdays 10am-4pm or available to view on request.
Secret Postcard Exhibition
Opening on 6th December, 4-7pm
Come along to Gerald Moore Gallery, enjoy a glass of wine and view our SECRET POSTCARDS – all artworks are original postcard-sized pieces. All works will be sold for £20 individually with the purchaser unaware of the identity of the artist till after the sale. The proceeds support Gerald Moore Gallery’s outreach programme and this year we would like to raise money for a project that works with young people to support their wellbeing through art making.
Entry requirements: Submit a 2D postcard size piece of work (up to A5) with your name, contact details and webiste on the back. Post or deliver it to Gerald Moore Gallery, Mottingham Lane, London, SE9 4RW.
