The group was divided into 3 groups for practical activities.

Lily German, Artist and Lecturer at Goldsmiths University, lead a workshop on appreciating nature with eco-clay prints and differentiating clay for different age groups.

Elaine Homer, Art Therapist, ran a workshop introducing art therapy techniques.

Mandy Franklin, Art Teacher and previous Head of Wellbeing, delivered a workshop to encourage artist educators to make time for their own personal work through sketchbook circle or visual diaries.

The feedback from the  session has been overwhelmingly positive and given us a great stepping stone to build relationships with all staff.

'I have really enjoyed this INSET morning, very interactive and enjoyable. '

In response to 'How useful did you find the CPD? On a scale of 1 not very useful to 10 very useful', all participants rated between 8-10 with the majority stating 10.

Many of teachers discussed the challenges they face and that of their pupils. By collating all this feedback we will shape future CPD support with Castlecombe Primary alongside practical Wellbeing activities and resources so that the whole school can benefit.
